The Bijou is somewhere in the region of 400 years old and once would of formed part of a larger farmhouse, it has spent 3 years undergoing sympathtic restoration work, preserving the original charm and bringing it bang upto date for 21st century comforts.
It is, as the name would suggest, a small cosy yet comfortable and beautifully restored gem tucked away in the Ardeche's crown.
 Kitchen/Diner which is fully equipt
including Oven, Fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, cafetiere. The Kitchen space is fully ventilated outside for your comfort.
You enter up from a small raised platform to the ground floor which has the Kitchen/Diner and the showeroom &WC on. It also has a mezzanine floor above  with access via a spiral staircase and a gallery space to the vented ceiling which has 3 large velux sky lights along it's length allowing light to flood  all the way down into the lower space.

The bed is a full queen sized bed, (not a futon) with the proper Mattress sitting on Sprung birchwood slats, Just the same as a normal bed -Just without the Legs!The bed space is in the vented roof space and therefore can not be stood up in, however you can sit up quite comfortably. There is a velux window with a full blackout solar reflective sunblock blind for your comfort, or you can open it and lie back look at the stars at night if you wish!

The gite is situated in a very rural part of the Ardeche allowing agreat incite into Southern French life. The locals are extremely friendly and the village of Rosieres is beautiful. Close to local amenities  and the views -meters from the doorstep are breathtaking.

This is the view from the sofa on the second mezzanine level, notice the velux/skylight windows which allow plenty of light to come flooding in and down to the lower levels via the tall vertical gallery, all the blinds have blackout solar shutters for the hot days! or if you are a light sleeper. Notice on wall to the right are the steps needed to access the third bed mezzanine level which can be removed and place for day use if you wish.
